As a college which has at its heart a commitment to working with the worldwide community to develop learning and opportunity for young people and adults, Bath Academy takes its social responsibility very seriously.
We work with organisations locally to support students through our CIFE scholarship programme. This has enabled us to offer a full-time language scholarship to a Syrian refugee in collaboration with Bath Welcomes Refugees and every year we offer a tutorial scholarship to a student from a local comprehensive in partnership with the Young Carers Development Trust.
Our community involvement continues to expand as we participate in the famous Bath Boules each year, a fantastic annual event that brings together businesses and residents to raise money for several local charities in Bath, and last year teamed up with Julian House to cook for the homeless.
In addition to these contributions to the wider community, our students are always eager to get involved with local and national charities, such as baking delicious home-made cakes for BBC Children in Need or creating activities for Sport Relief. We believe involving our students in compassionate charity projects all throughout the year will help to foster community spirit and promote volunteering skills so needed and valued across the world.
