International Student Support

Studying in the UK as an international student can be a life-changing experience, both exciting and daunting. The more prepared you are for this, the better.

We aim to guide you in what to expect from academic study in UK Higher Education, and to help you get the very best out of your time as a student here. To do this, we will:

  • highlight aspects of UK Higher Education which might be new or different for you
  • help you to prepare for the transition to Bath Academy and its methods of teaching and learning
  • introduce you to cultural aspects of life and study in the UK
  • encourage you to start using and practising your English language skills

Moving countries can be very difficult when you’re faced with many new and unfamiliar challenges. We have helped many international students adjust to life in the UK, and have expert knowledge and guidance for our students living in the beautiful city of Bath.

Named one of the safest cities in the UK, Bath is the perfect study destination for those who prefer a compact city which is easily explored on foot, with our boarding house a short walk away from our two college locations at Queen Square and Chapel Row.

All our staff are able to help you settle into your new environment and our Welfare Officer, Natalia Knott, is available to help with every type of problem you might encounter during your time at the college. Our students’ safety and happiness is a priority.

*All students are given our emergency out of hours number +44 (0) 7400 618999 for contact at any time if they need it.

“My time studying at Bath Academy was very memorable. I really liked the town because it was so pretty and it had every bit of everything. Teachers here were really helpful and patient. I have met a lot of friends here. In summary, I had a really amazing experience.”
Beatrice, UFP student
