At the heart of every academic year is the relentless pursuit of excellence, and in 2024, our students have once again proven their dedication, hard work, and talent. We are thrilled to celebrate their remarkable achievements, which highlight not only their academic success but also the unwavering and tailored support of our teachers, and the entire college community.
This year, the statistics tell a story of success and triumph, with 28% of all grades awarded at the prestigious A*/A level. Such a significant achievement speaks volumes about the calibre of our students and the rigorous academic environment that nurtures their abilities. These outstanding results reflect both the intellectual curiosity of our students and the dedication of our teachers, who work tirelessly to support them every step of the way.
But academic success isn’t just about grades; it’s also about the doors those grades open for the future. We are incredibly proud to announce that 85% of all A-level students gained entry into their first-choice university this year. This is an achievement that underscores the relevance and rigour of our academic programme, as well as the dedication of our students in pursuing their dreams.
For many, receiving that acceptance letter from their first-choice university is the culmination of years of hard work and ambition. It’s a moment of triumph that validates their perseverance. Whether they’re heading to world-renowned Russell Group universities or to specialised pathways that align with their passions, our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the next chapter of their academic journey.
These results also reflect the personalised support systems in place at Bath Academy. Dedicated Personal Tutors provide one-on-one guidance, and prioritorise helping each student identify and pursue their unique path to success. The fact that so many of our students have secured spots at their preferred institutions is a testament to the effectiveness of our holistic approach to education.
We recognise that achieving A* and A grades, and securing admission to top universities, does not come easily. It requires a balance of discipline, resilience, and motivation. Throughout the year, our students have demonstrated these qualities in abundance. They’ve excelled not only in their grades but also in co-curricular activities, the Enrichment Programme, and leadership roles such as Student Representatives and Equality Ambassador roles – truly embodying the well-rounded individuals we aim to develop.
