‘What do I want to do be?’ is the challenge that all students face in an increasingly complex world. Applying for University courses through the UCAS system requires realistic reflections on dreams, ambitions, abilities and personality. We use FutureSmart careers guidance counsellors to prepare a psychometric report for each student, giving them a positive and helpful starting point in this process, which is also supported throughout by their personal tutor.
Each student is guided through the UCAS application individually and carefully advised to make realistic and sensible applications. Assistance is given with application forms and Personal Statements so that the student maximises their chances of obtaining offers, and an academic reference is provided giving a supportive assessment of the student’s progress and suitability for the course applied for.
University guidance support continues after application submission and Results Day, and advice is given on how to respond to offers from individual universities.
